Beschreibung
AB MARINE ECLIPSE 472 - THE BLUEWATER CATAMARAN, READY TO CAST OFF
Built by AB Marine in 2010, the Eclipse 472 is aimed at crews looking for living space, autonomy and easy handling. At 14.30 m, with four cabins and a rig designed for offshore cruising, this catamaran holds its own ground: seaworthy enough for long passages, straightforward enough for family sailing. Price: €199,000 VAT paid. Flag: FRANCE.
Construction and seakeeping
Composite hull and deck, 14.30 m length, 7.40 m beam and a draft of just 1.25 m: proportions that open up coastal anchorages while delivering the platform stability catamarans are known for. At 6,900 kg displacement, she stays light on her feet under sail. The sail plan combines a fully battened square-top mainsail, a Spectra furling jib and a tri-radial cut Mylar gennaker, with an Incidence boom fitted with lazy jacks and lazy bag, mainsail track and car, and a bowsprit for downwind work.
Power and life on board
Twin Nanni N 4.38 40 HP four-cylinder engines on sail drives show 540 and 530 hours respectively. She cruises at 8 knots for 4 l/h, with a top speed of 14 knots and 400 litres of fuel capacity. Below, four cabins and four berths for eight people, a fitted galley (2-burner gas hob, SMVE oven, Dometic CRX 140 DC fridge from 2023, freezer), 40 L hot water and a solid energy package with 1,120 W of solar panels. Teak cockpit, bimini and exterior cushions round out a boat built for life at anchor.
