1973 Trapper 500 for sale in Kent. The Trapper 500 is a popular and highly regarded cruising yacht offering sparkling performance, good accommodation, and many excellent features such as moulded head linings. “Totem” has been regularly maintained and upgraded, including a replacement engine in 2001 and is presented in fair condition for her age.
Accommodation :
This Trapper 500 offers 5 berths in 2 cabins with approx. 5'10" max. headroom.
The Forepeak has a V berth and stowage areas. There is a Heads compartment to port with a marine toilet with a 150 Litre holding tank, wash basin, storage cupboard and further stowage opposite.
The Saloon has a dinette table to port which can convert to form a double berth, a settee to starboard and ample lockers.
Aft and to port is a sliding chart table. The Galley is aft and to starboard consisting of a two-burner gas stove with grill and oven, galley sink, fridge, manually pumped cold water supply and stowage. Upholstery finished in fawn brocade. It has a 60 Litre water tank

History and Construction:
Trapper 500 built by Trapper Yachts in 1973. Blue painted GRP hull with grey superstructure and decks with blue painted non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to spade rudder. Self-draining cockpit. This yacht was last out of the water in February 2022 when the hull was polished and antifouled. Some remedial osmosis treatment was professionally treated. This yacht has been owned by the current owner for the past three years and is looking to buy a larger yacht.
